About The Medical Group Practice

Practice Overview

The Medical Group began in 1996 with three physicians: Dr. Melvin Nickles, Family Medicine & Occupational/Industrial Medicine; Dr. Robert Bradley, Internal Medicine and Dr. Ballentine, Cardiology. The original office was located at 206 Swift Creek Road in Hartsville. The practice expanded in August 1997 to a second location with five additional physicians. This second location was closed when some of the group moved in 2000 to their current location in the Medical Office Building adjacent to Carolina Pines Regional Medical Center. 

The Medical Group currently has three locations and more than 20 providers including founding member Dr. Melvin Nickles and three of the five additional physicians: Dr. Abraham Areephanthu, Dr. Robert Elder and Dr. Michael Harless. The Medical Group serves the Pee Dee at 206 Swift Creek Road, 700 Medical Park Drive, 701 Medical Park Drive in Hartsville.
